​Required Documents for Filing a Patent Application

1. An application containing the full name, address, and nationality of the applicant (if the applicant is a company, the full name and official title of its representative and the legal address of the company headquarters); the full name, address, and nationality of the inventor
​2. Specifications containing a detailed description of the invention, a set of claims, an abstract, and drawings if necessary
3. An executed Power of Attorney, signed by the applicant or the representative of the applicant company, or a General Power of Attorney on file with the Mongolian Intellectual Property Office
4. Priority Certificate of the home application, including the filing date, filing number, and the country where filed when claiming convention priority

PCT Application

When entering into Mongolian National Phase of a PCT application, it is best to forward copies of the PCT necessary documents as the PCT Cover page, PCT Searching report, PCT Preliminary Examination report and others of the WIPO publication of the corresponding PCT application. The term for entering into the national phase in Mongolia is 31 months from the international filing date (or priority date, if any).
